Cooperation with the Czechoslovak Documentation Centre

IllustrationHavel-related materials from the Czechoslovak Documentation Centre will gradually enrich our digital archive.

Historian Vilém Prečan was collecting these materials during the whole era of Charter 77. Among others, they include a collection of clippings from foreign newspapers mapping Czechoslovak dissident activities.

„To tell you the truth, it’s not just Americans and other foreigners who think of me as a kind of fairy-tale prince or at least as the main character in a fairy tale; I too am often aware of something utterly unbelievable in my own destiny.
