Library and archive open to the public

IllustrationSince October 2009 we open library and archive to the public - every Tuesday from 9:00 to 17:00. Here you can find the basic Havel-related literature (from Havel and about Havel), as well as literature on Havel-related context (history, politics, law, etc.).

The digital archive will gradually make available documents, audios, videos and photos that are connected in some way with Václav Havel. Overview of all this will appear on our new website in the coming days. The fee for the use of archives and library is CZK 100, single-use fee is CZK 30. It is located in 18 Kateřinská Street, Prague 2.

Diary entry for 5 December 2005, To the Castle and Back

„It’s as though I were constantly expecting someone to visit. But who? A strange and beautiful woman who admires me?… I have only one explanation: I’m constantly preparing for the last judgment, for the highest court from which nothing can be hidden… I’m obviously assuming that the supreme judge is a stickler like me.“
