The organisers of the Trutnov Open Air festival have announced the name of another exclusive guest – the Welsh musician and founding member of the Velvet Underground, JOHN CALE.

“John Cale is the perfect artist and musician for Trutnov. Who else could appear at this year’s festival, which is dedicated to the memories of chief Václav and underground guru Martin Jirous, than John Cale from the group they loved, the Velvet Underground?” says Martin Věchet, founder of the festival. “I’m only extremely sorry that neither the chief nor Magor will be here with us physically. We should have invited John a long time ago. Everything goes and fades away so fast. There wasn’t, and isn’t, any point in putting things off.”
