Václav Havel Prize for Human Rights - Last Call for Nominations

On Monday September 30, 2013 the first Václav Havel Prize for Human Rights will be announced in the French city of Strasbourg. The award, which is presented by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Václav Havel Library and the Charter 77 Foundation, can be won by either an individual or a non-governmental organisation or other institution striving to support human rights. Nominations for the Václav Havel Prize, whose winner receives a reward of EUR 60,000 as well as a diploma and plaque, can only be sent in until the end of this month, i.e., until 30 June, 2013.
